Although we are used to winter weather here in northern Michigan, we do sometimes cancel events because of the bad weather out of concern for safety. Here is our cancellation policy as well as instructions on how to find out about cancellations.
For weekday events, any time that the Cheboygan Area Schools are closed due to weather, church events will be cancelled.
For Sunday morning worship services, the decision for cancellation will be made by the pastor along with the Servant Leadership Team. Any cancellation will be decided by 7:30 am and posted by 8:00. We have many ways you can find out if the service has been cancelled:
- Check the website – notification will be in the bottom left
- on our Facebook page
- on Twitter
- on the answering machine at the church (231-627-9889)
- you can also receive a text message alert. To sign up for a weather cancellation notification, text the word weather to 231-668-4484. Be sure to send the word in all small letters, with no punctuation. If done correctly, you will receive a message asking you to confirm your wish to receive these messages.
